Animal Conservation... In Print!

As part of our efforts to promote endangered breeds, we are trying to spread the word through other mediums. Recently I have been writing articles for the Very Awesome magazine, Backyard Goats and it's poultry counterpart, Backyard Poultry!

Both magazines are full of fun, informative articles, which is one of the reasons I have chosen to write for them, and I cannot recommend them enough for anyone looking to add a new substitution (electronic or paper) to their lives.

I will also have an article this spring comparing modern day chick raising with that of the 1920's and 1930's in Backyard Poultry, and another article is set for this summer in "Backyard Goats" on signs, prevention and treatment of the meningeal or "brain" worm. As this is becoming more of an issue here in the Northeast, I hope New England goat raisers will find it useful!
