March 19th at 10a we will offer our popular "Colony Raising Rabbits for Beginners" online. Interested in raising rabbits but not interested in keeping them in cages? Learn the basics of colony raising including the benefits of colonies, indoor vs outdoor and introducing rabbits to a new colony. This will be in collaboration with the Augusta Adult and Community Education program! Spaces are limited so please hop on over to their site to sign up.
On March 23rd we will offer "Feeling
Horn-y: Choosing Whether Or Not To Disbud Your Goats" Natural, Polled, Disbudded and Dehorned: what the difference between all these terms and what does it mean for your goats? We will cover all about a goat's horns; keeping them, leaving them and everything in between! This will be in collaboration with the Augusta Adult and Community Education program! Spaces are limited so please trot on over to their site to sign up.
We will also have farm tours beginning in April - details can be found on our new Events Page. Limited tickets are available, so Contact Us to reserve your spot. Tickets are $20 per person, children under 10 are free. Tours should last about 1-1.5 hours. Dress for the weather and boots are strongly suggested!
And that isn't all - more events are in the works! We are working with both Merrymeeting Adult Ed and Central Lincoln County Adult Ed to offer in-person classes on different topics, and we have a "secret" event that we will drop on March 1st!
